PolymerVision: photo in, resin record out

PolymerVision reads the resin identification code, label text and shape of a plastic item from one photo and returns one structured record your systems can store.

Every check returns the same fields: materialType (PET, HDPE, PVC, LDPE, PP, PS or OTHER), isSingleUse (YES, NO or UNKNOWN), confidenceScore (0 to 100, the model's own figure), recyclabilityNotes (UK collection guidance) and extractedTexts (each code or label read, with its position).

Three ways to run it: hosted, in your own cloud account, or on your own hardware with Ollama so photos never leave your network. Pilots cover contamination spot checks, composition sampling and picker training.

A camera sees surfaces, not chemistry. Without a legible code the answer is an informed guess, and the record says so. It is a low-cost check for manual QC and sampling, not a replacement for near-infrared sorting.
